Virtual Prince William Virtual Withdraw Policy
VPW will follow the county withdraw/drop course policy: Regulation 661.04-5, "Reporting/Grading Procedures, Procedures for Recording Grades of Students Who Drop a Class During the School Year – Grades Nine-12."
Since VPW courses are completed in a semester, VPW will adhere to the following semester regulations:
Fall and Spring Term Withdraw Policies
- Students who drop a VPW course before the end of the first four weeks of the course shall not have the attempt recorded on their transcript.
- Students who drop a VPW course after the first four weeks but before the end of the first semester shall receive no credit and a notation shall be made on the student's transcript indicating withdraw failing or withdraw passing.
- Students who drop a VPW course after the first semester of the course shall receive no credit and a failing grade for the course.
- The principal (or designee) may, in extenuating circumstances relating to a student's health or well-being, make an exception to this regulation.
Summer Withdraw Policies
- Students who withdraw prior to the start of the Summer term or on the first day of the term will receive a full refund and no penalty for taking the course. There will be NO refunds after the first day of the summer term.
- Students who withdraw during the first week of the summer term will not be penalized on their transcript for taking the course.
- Students who withdraw during weeks 2 and 3 will receive a WF or WP on their transcripts and will not receive a credit for the course.
- Students who withdraw during weeks 4-6 will receive an automatic F and will not receive credit for the course.

- Base School
- Current school counselor's first and last name
