I currently serve as the Supervisor of Virtual Prince William (VPW), a position I have held since June 2019. I am entering my 17th year in education, with 16 of those years dedicated to serving students and families in Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS).
I began my educational career as a middle school mathematics teacher at Woodbridge Middle School before moving to Gainesville Middle School. I later spent five years teaching mathematics at Woodbridge Senior High School, where I developed a passion for helping students build confidence, perseverance, and critical thinking skills. During the 2018-2019 school year, I served as the Assistant Principal at Gayle Middle School in Stafford, Virginia, before transitioning into division-level leadership with Virtual Prince William.
Originally from the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, I remain a proud and dedicated Pittsburgh sports fan. I attended Thiel College, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics while also playing collegiate football. In 2015, I completed my Master's Degree in Educational Administration through the American College of Education (ACE).
As the leader of VPW, I am committed to expanding educational opportunities and ensuring students have the flexibility, support, and resources needed to succeed in an online learning environment. I believe every student can achieve success when provided with high expectations, meaningful support, and pathways that meet their individual needs.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, two daughters, and our dog, Brooks. Whether exploring new restaurants, visiting Kings Dominion, traveling, or attending the many activities my daughters participate in, family adventures are a favorite pastime. I am also an avid runner who has completed marathons and half marathons across the country.
"At Virtual Prince William, we believe every student has limitless potential. Our mission is to provide the flexibility, support, and opportunities that empower students to discover their strengths, achieve their goals, and confidently prepare for the future. Success is not simply about earning credits; it is about building the knowledge, skills, and resilience needed to thrive in whatever path lies ahead."

With over 20 years of experience in education, I bring a diverse background spanning both elementary and secondary settings. Prior to joining the Virtual Prince William (VPW) administrative team, I began my career in Hillsborough County Public Schools in Florida, followed by 10 years in Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia, where I taught and coached students in grades 4–6. I joined Prince William County Schools in 2013 and have since served as a teacher, instructional technology coach, assistant principal, and CTE teacher at Featherstone Elementary, Kyle Wilson Elementary, Potomac High, and Gar-Field High School.
I’m deeply passionate about using educational technology to design engaging, innovative learning experiences for students. I believe that when technology is effectively leveraged, it not only increases engagement but also helps prepare students to thrive in an ever-changing digital world.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from George Mason University, a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Trinity University, and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from James Madison University.
As a graduate of Woodbridge Senior High School (PWCS), I value the impact of public education both personally and professionally. I am also the proud parent of a recent PWCS graduate—a dedicated student-athlete who is now succeeding in college—and I am proud to have nieces and nephews who are currently achieving in PWCS as well.
In my free time, my family and I enjoy supporting Washington-area sports teams (Go Nats, Caps, Commanders, and Wizards!), trying new foods and restaurants, traveling, and spending time outdoors with family and friends. I am committed to being a champion for the success of both students and educators, and proud to continue that mission as part of the Virtual Prince William community.
